Position Summary:

Kodak Moments Colorado is looking for a college level student intern currently enrolled in a Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics engineering field of study. The intern will be given the opportunity to develop and implement new automation/robotic processes thus allowing the intern to gain valuable experience through real world business cases and learn how their contributions drive decision making that directly impacts the business. The intern will work under the direction of one or more senior resources who will assist and guide day-to-day responsibilities and project work.


Position Description:

Kodak Moments is seeking an Engineering intern to work at its manufacturing facility in Windsor, CO.  This individual will be responsible for assisting with electrical/mechanical design and day to day support of new and current manufacturing equipment. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, development and implementation of various robotics operations in our manufacturing process, and development/support of process quality monitoring projects across a wide variety of manufacturing equipment. This position requires some basic electrical and mechanical skills. Experience with robotics applications/programming along with Allen Bradley PLC programming would be a plus but is not required. The ideal candidate would be a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics engineering major with a current minimum 3.0 GPA who interacts well with others. This individual will be expected to bring new and fresh ideas to upgrade older technology and to communicate their ideas as well as the results of their work.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Working toward a BS in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics engineering.
  • Ability to work in a team setting and come up to speed quickly.
  • Good communication skills - ability to sell ideas to peers/management.
  • Initiative - results oriented.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Some basic electrical knowledge.
  • Ability to learn and use electrical test equipment.
  • Some basic mechanical knowledge.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot mechanical issues with a variety of tools.
  • Strong documentation ability.
  • Ability to present their work and accept constructive feedback in a design review process.
  • Ability to conduct research through the web and review of written documentation.


Beneficial Additional Skills:

  • Standard Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) in a Windows OS.
  • Any Robotics programming familiarity that uses Epson RC+ or other programming Software.
  • Use of Solidworks or other CAD programs.
  • Programming languages such as Visual Basic or C++.
  • Familiarity with Allen Bradley or other PLC’s.
