I. Summary
EMR USA has an opening for a yard supervisor. In this role, the supervisor will assist the site manager with the day to day activities in the yard. To be successful, the supervisor must be organized and able to perform several tasks at the same time. Ultimately, an outstanding yard supervisor has good customer service skills, is a team player and possesses a strong work ethic.
II. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Supervisors assign tasks to workforce and ensure all work is completed safely while following all EMR safety policies.
• Develop, lead, train and discipline all employees within department.
• Ensure area employees production reports are completed and efficiently turn in at the end of their shift.
• Ensure all planned and unplanned maintenance repairs are reported in timely manner.
• Provide daily housekeeping assignments.
• Ensure compliance in safety, environment and personnel issues that may arise.
• Ensure production is consistent and quality is maintained.
• Ensure supervisor and employees are doing Hazard ID card and any permit required.
• Required to work all shift as scheduled.

IV. Education & Experience
- Verifiable supervisory work experience in a leadership role
- Experience in overseeing a team in an industrial environment as it pertains to safe working practices and proper equipment use/operation
- Experience administering a safety program and auditing ground activity for safe practices
V. Other Job Demands
While performing the essential functions of this job, the Yard Supervisor will be working in an outdoor environment. The employee may be near moving mechanical parts and will be exposed to all weather conditions. The noise level in the environment can be loud and will require ear protection. The employee is required to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time. This job also requires frequent bending, kneeling, and standing, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working in confined spaces.
