Job Purpose
 
To establish and deliver our activities relating to next life and end of life management options for energy infrastructure assets, with an immediate focus on wind turbine blades and solar PV panels.

This will involve working with customers to understand their needs, before developing and implementing a resource management plan to sustainably manage their assets and materials.

It will require the identification and/or the development of sector-leading management options to enable compliant and secure processing, reducing risk whilst maximising value through recycling and recovery. 

The role will be primarily focused on the UK but will also provide support to our developing capabilities in other territories including Europe and North America.
 

Responsibilities & Deliverables

Customer Management
•    Ensure that a customer-first approach is established and that we fully understand their needs, allowing the delivery of effective and efficient services and solutions;
•    Create a transparent resource management plan which clearly outlines what is required and how this will be delivered on behalf of the customer; and
•    Supply timely management updates and Material Management Reports upon completion enabling the customer to be fully informed of the outcomes.

Commercial development 
•    Proactive business development to establish client base and deliver on forecasted pipeline of materials;
•    Negotiation on pricing and contract setup to both deliver value for customers;
•    Establish performance targets that provide a benchmark for continual growth and improvement; and
•    Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients and suppliers.

Supply chain management
•    Actively seek out new technologies and material management options across different territories;
•    Validate technologies against specific performance criteria;
•    Visit suppliers to carry out due diligence and ensure compliance; and
•    Agree and implement service delivery contracts with suppliers based on mutual value creation.

Contract execution
•    Coordinate and take responsibility for all aspects of the service including supplier onboarding, brokering, aggregation services, and logistics; and
•    Report on agreed commercial and sustainability KPIs.

Strategic input
•    Work with the Energy Infrastructure Lead to build relationships with key stakeholders such as trade bodies, industry initiatives, academia, and regulators; and
•    Use insights from commercial activity and client relationships to help grow the wider business unit.


Experience, qualifications, skills and competencies

Experience
•    Proven success and track record of performance within resource or asset management services within waste, manufacturing and/or energy sectors
•    Familiarity with potential routes to market and end markets for materials streams (preferred but not essential)
•    Contract management expertise
•    Supply chain management


Qualifications
•    Membership of a Professional Body (e.g., the Chartered Institute of Wastes Management) or willingness to work towards such an accreditation.

Skills and competencies
•    Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage clients effectively over the phone and in-person.
•    Entrepreneurial self-starter who is open-minded, resourceful, and enthusiastic.
Be able to operate with a high degree of independence.
•    Comfortable working within a small team and enjoys contributing towards the success of the team

 

•    Must have a full UK driving licence, and be able to spend nights away in the UK and abroad as appropriate
