About us:

We are the Information Intelligence Group (IIG) of CACI UK, a specialist software consultancy providing bespoke solutions to solve complex operational problems. Trusted partners to the UK Government and industry, CACI Information Intelligence Group (IIG) design and deliver mission critical data management and analytics software. Our success relies on the ground-breaking thought leadership of our staff, be they engineers, architects or delivery managers.

IIG has the culture and feel of a small business, paired with the benefits of our position in a much larger organisation. We work with the newest technologies, in a highly dynamic working environment that challenges and nurtures great talent.

At CACI IIG we have a hybrid working model where you have autonomy to choose how you work, from one of our 6 UK Offices or from home.

The Role:

As we continue to grow, we are looking to appoint a Software Lead to join an Agile engineering team working on a large complex programme of work for UK government, building a new bespoke software solution. As a Lead Software Engineer on the project, you will gain exposure to:

  • Implementing software solutions including design, development and testing
  • Using a wide range of technologies, specialising in the use of open-source libraries and components.
  • Utilising tools such as GitLab to build continuous integration pipelines, which help monitor and ensure software quality and security
  • Deploying software systems to a mixture of environments, including public (AWS and Azure) and private cloud
  • Full Software Lifecycle involvement: project concept formalisation; requirements analysis and specification; architecture design; implementation and delivery; training and support and software lifecycle and maintenance
  • Oversight of the project, taking full ownership for deliverables and task allocation

The Fit:

At IIG, there’s no such thing as a typical solution – we’re looking for talent that can keep up with our clients’ challenges, and set the pace for new ideation. We value intelligence and fast learners, flexibility and excitement about tackling every new opportunity. Our work is highly collaborative, so friendly relationship builders are vital to our teams.

We are open to receiving applications from Lead Software Developers with hands on experience in a commercial environment using Java, Javascript or Cloud Technologies (ideally AWS).
