CACI is recruiting for a Data Science Project Lead within Data Science & Insight who will be responsible for overseeing and managing a wide range of projects, working closely with our data scientists to ensure timely deliveries, to budget and to the high standards of delivery our clients expect.

What you’ll be doing

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Data Science and Insight team as a Project Lead. We have a wide-ranging client list, working with some of the biggest and innovative brands in the UK across utilities, gaming, publishing, retail and consumer packaged goods, leisure, financial services and beyond.

 

You will be responsible for overseeing and managing a wide range of projects, working closely with our data scientists to ensure timely deliveries, to budget and to the high standards of delivery our clients expect. This is a varied role in a high-performing and high-profile team that plays a crucial role in delivering on CACI’s mission of ‘doing amazing things with data’ by helping the brands we work with turn data and analysis into actionable insight.

 

Responsibilities will include

  • pre-sales proposal writing, client relationship management
  • organising and facilitating regular client meetings, project planning and monitoring,
  • scope management, scheduling, preparing and delivering milestone presentations.
  • knowledge and fluency in tools such as Excel and PowerPoint will be leveraged to carry out everyday tasks. 

 

This is a client facing role, where you will showcase your understanding and outputs through meetings and presentations ensuring that outputs are tangible and beneficial for our clients.

 

You will have:

  • A background in maths or demonstrable experience of working with data science projects
  • Strong analytical and numerical ability - able to have an understanding of data science and make recommendations based on your commercial awareness of a clients brand
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • The ability to inspire and guide team members towards common goals, while providing direction and support as needed
  • Experience of managing a team, including assigning tasks, providing feedback, and resolving conflicts
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to create visually engaging presentations
  • Experience of using data to drive consumer marketing, to improve commercial performance
  • Good / advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Advanced use of Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Structured, analytical approach to problem-solving and a high attention to detail
