CACI is recruiting for a Head of Data Delivery & QA within the Marketing Solutions Division who will be responsible for the teams that deliver our data and products and make them accessible to clients and internal stakeholders via our data lakehouse.

What you’ll be doing:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the newly formed Product Strategy & Implementation team.

As Head of Data Delivery and QA, where you will be responsible for the teams that deliver our data and products and make them accessible to clients and internal stakeholders via our data lakehouse. We have many products and datasets including Acorn, Ocean and InSite which are used by 100’s of the biggest and most innovative brands in the UK and beyond, from all key sectors including retail, government, financial services, travel, utilities, gaming, publishing, leisure and consumer packaged goods.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrating new data sources into the data lakehouse.
  • Managing existing data processes within the data lakehouse.
  • SMEs for all CACI data and data sources required to build our products.
  • Geo-spatial data SMEs.
  • Managing the integration of data into InSite Everywhere.
  • Managing the delivery of data products and services to our clients via the lakehouse, and not necessarily via InSite Everywhere.
  • Managing the delivery of InSite Everywhere to our clients.
  • Responsible for the QA of our data delivery, either from InSite Everywhere, data lakehouse or data delivery software products
  • Ensuring that the team delivers in line with the vision and strategy set up by the Head of Product Strategy & Operations and wider leadership team.
  • End to end ownership of InSite Everywhere client delivery projects.
  • Own the QA and QA practices within the delivery of our products and datasets.
  • Own the adoption and successful use and implementation of the data lakehouse
  • Define, and drive the adoption of, best practice and common processes for the delivery teams.
  • Engaging with teams dependent on the data lakehouse, the data within and the data that their team processes and provides.
  • Creating common integration processes for downstream teams and products e.g., InSite Everywhere or Location Analysis.
  • Actively mentoring and leading the team, providing leadership and vision.
  • Providing technical leadership, support and vision.
  • Prioritise workload based on commercial value and allocate resources effectively to meet strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to data quality, pipeline efficiency, and system performance, and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Drive innovation and process improvements by staying abreast of industry trends, evaluating new technologies, and proposing strategic initiatives to optimise data management processes.
  • Creating and maintaining a framework for integration with the data lakehouse, both internal and external to CACI e.g., methods by which our clients can integrate to the lakehouse to access data.
  • The management of the data services that the team provide.

 

 

Overview of responsibilities within each sub-team:

  • Data Solutions Team: Ensure timely and accurate updates and releases of spatial datasets and geospatial products to the business.
  • InSite Everywhere Delivery Team: Delivering our cloud-based GIS tool to clients including a range of proprietary and third-party datasets.
  • Data Lakehouse Team: Ingesting data into the data lakehouse for client and internal stakeholder access.
  • Currently overseeing a team of 15 with plans for expansion

 

 

 Purpose of the Role

Reporting to the Head of Product Strategy & Operations, in this role you will manage three different teams who are responsible for the delivery, management and implementation of our datasets and products, making them accessible to clients and internal stakeholders via our data lakehouse (built in AWS) and delivering our cloud-based GIS tool, InSite Everywhere.

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring our datasets and products are delivered efficiently, accurately and on time. You will lead the overall management of our data lakehouse and be expected to optimise the ingestion process. You will take full ownership of the end-to-end delivery of InSite Everywhere implementation.

This is a newly formed department within CACI and in this role you will be expected to identify ways of improving existing processes and then creating the technical plan to execute them.

You will work closely with the Head of Product Strategy & Operations to lead the team that will execute the wider product and data strategy.

Building new products and using new technology is creating new challenges, and you will need to inform the strategy to ensure we set ourselves up technically with the right structures, resources and processes for the future.

 

Core skills, knowledge, experience required:

 

  • An experienced team leader, innovator and data expert that can help to evolve the current CACI data function.
  • Proven track record of enhancing data ingestion and processing workflows.
  • Proven experience of leading the successful development and delivery of innovative, profitable product and data delivery.
  • Experience of working collaboratively and engaging with a range of different audiences; exec-level, commercial, subject-matter experts, data scientists, technical experts.
  • Demonstrable experience of the applications of data to deliver commercial value across a range of applications (audience identification, profiling, geo-spatial/ location analysis, site optimisation, modelling, segmentation, personalisation, pricing).
  • Excellent understand of AWS and a proven data engineering track record.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to deliver change.
  • Strong organisational skills and comfortable juggling multiple projects.
