PURPOSE OF JOB:

 

Bytes are currently recruiting a Software QA Test Engineer with 3-5 years of Manual Testing experience to join our small but dynamic Quality Assurance (QA) team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by conducting comprehensive testing. Your responsibilities will include creating and executing test plans, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating closely with developers and other team members to deliver high-quality software solutions. Your exposure to automation testing will be highly beneficial as you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the automation efforts and gradually transition into a more automation-focused role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Using appropriate techniques to design test cases, test scripts and test data that will address identified test requirements and presenting them in an overall test design.
  • Conduct thorough testing of software applications to identify defects, verify functionality, and ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure that new features or changes do not adversely impact existing functionality.
  • Identifying software application weaknesses and target areas
  • Leverage your exposure to automation testing to contribute to the development of automated test scripts gradually transitioning into a more automation-focused role.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Planning, developing, and executing software testing tasks for web application modules.
  • Providing estimates and prioritising all testing activities required to deliver projects.
  • Running automated tests as part of CI/CD pipeline.
  • Documenting issues found during testing as well as prioritizing and assigning defects to developers for resolution.
  • Collaborating with the design team to solve application faults

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

 

Qualifications

  • Degree in computer science, software engineering or a similar field

DESIRABLE

  • QA Testing Certification at any level

  • SQL/Data interrogation techniques

  • 3 – 5 years commercial development testing experience

  • Previous experience working as a QA/Tester automation engineer
